IA2111 High-precision, 150 MA Low Dropout Linear RegulatorThe IA2111 high-precision CMOS low dropout linear Regulator uses only a 1 F
ceramic or high quality tantalum output capacitor, thus enabling a substantial
saving in cost and area. The typical output noise is only 100 Vrms
; for even lower
noise, other options in the IA211x series are available. The ground current
increase at 300 mA output is less than 10%. A standout feature of the IA2111 is
its immunity to reverse battery connections; the IC is protected against destruction
and the battery against discharge. The design also provides superior immunity to
input voltage glitches and load transients. The Power OK pin provides a low
output signal when the output voltage drops out of regulation. Also noteworthy is
the startup delay of only 35 s and load transient response of 20 mV with a load
step of 1 mA to 150 mA. The IA211x series features thermal shutdown and short-
circuit current protection. The IA2111 output voltage change over the load range
is less than +/- 0.2% and is designed for battery-powered portable and Wireless
applications with the most demanding performance and space requirements.
